interesting capacitor idea

Co worker distributed the article to me by hard copy.  But essentially you have a high surface area item, coat it with the two leads and insulator to make it a capacitor.  The idea is by having such a high surface area, the capacitor can hold a much higher charge in a smaller volume of space.

 

Storage is key, for keeping power from wind turbines, to moving it around in vehicles.  The powerdensity of the storage system will be important in determining success or failure.

More ways of storing power is not as important. Getting a good enough storage will break the barrier to electric vehicles.
