I am now, have been and will be wrong

 

Looks like no one's sure where to go.  The idea that so many of these folks are going to go into cleantech is nice.  But it is still a few dips in the water, no one has really plunged in and been successful.

 

It's not a like a software/services company.   Even the groups that work like software/services companies aren't turning around as fast, because the energy industry itself is still slow.  So going at high speeds for energy, still feels like molasses to an Internet investor.

 

But checks are still being written, and people are still trying to put money to work.  The average investment life cycle is still getting longer, and all in all, things are changing, going back to fundamentals, and the fast money, drive by VC, etc. is going away.
