NY Times opinion by Friedman to get leadership from the White House.
He really goes into the challenges set by the current administration in moving towards energy independence, and support for alternative energy.
HR 6409 is the best we've got right now. But without any support it will fail.
We are already hearing whispers of problems in the solar industry. The folks in wind have already survived this type of nonsense, but a fragile company will perish under these random conditions.
There is no question that these credits should be available for long enough that both producers and customers can plan for purchases.
The conditions that go on in government greatly affect fledgling industries like Solar. However, trying to get anything done during a Presidential election year is a huge challenge, and one that may not be overcome this year.
