MITEF event with Sarah Saunders
She ran the Powerpoint workshop for the MITEF in DC on Wednesday.
I’ve had the pleasure to work with her in the past, and I agree with a lot of what she presents. Her work is best for the person who wants to have an improved presentation. Not for someone who is just trying to get a presentation out there.
There are those among us, who are just happy to have a presentation made. And the audience suffers as they prattle on reading the very slides we are seeing.
She has some key points, such as starting with a power opening. During the deep dive on powerpoint she went through and showed both good and bad examples of powerpoint.
Elements that were unhelpful, and distracting. Other times she explained why a slide was better, more compelling.
These points came in handy when I sat in on a presentation run-through for Investor’s Circle. This was a dry-run for the presenters, trying to get them ready for next week’s event.
