Green energy markets taking off

RedHerring article with Green Markets

I liked his final statement. How long will it be before people realize that Oil = Transportation.

Solar/Wind = electricity

Electrcity in this country means COAL

Biofuels should be getting a run-up when crude reaches $100/brl

The problem is, ethanol is not a true fuel, it is an additive.

Bio-gasoline is a real fuel.

But no one is making this on a large commercial scale.

And all this still brings me to:

The electric car.

I still think it is the most economic solution. Battery technology is the bottleneck, and I do hope there will be a commercial solution within 2 years. At which point, the logistics guys will be the first big buyers. And the distribution of transportation power will shift.
